The CN Tower is still officially the tallest freestanding building in the world (not for long, Dubai’s got a tower under construction that’s got it beat), and although it’s been around since 1976, there’s always something new. More precisely, the up ride gives you a really neat view of the inside of the tower and its amazingly long elevator chute through two glass panels bolted onto the floor. And yes, it’s pretty trippy to stand right on them. As well, the rest of the tower experience these days is sleek, modern and full of information. You can start your outing with a viewing of Himalamazon, a motion theatre ride where you feel like a log riding through a futuristic world that blends the mountains and the jungle.
